In 2012, I took a Permaculture class in Maryland. I was considering at that time taking Master Gardeners certification in Washington, DC at UDC(University of the District of Columbia) and had met with the Director. The permaculture course seemed like the next step in truly understanding a solution-based alternative to growing food and living peacefully in our environment.
What is Permaculture?
Permaculture is a system of agricultural and social design principles centered around simulating or directly utilizing the patterns and features observed in natural ecosystems. The term permaculture (as a systematic method) was first coined by Australians Bill Mollison and David Holmgren in 1978.
