Use raw, organic ingredients whenever possible. These measurements are flexible; don’t worry too much about being exact.
- 2 1/2 cups raw, whole rolled oats
- ½ cup raw almonds and/or cashews, chopped
- 1/2 cup raw organic chia seeds
- 1/2 cup dried coconut
- ½ cup unsweetened dried fruit, chopped (optional)
- 2-3 tablespoons grade-b maple syrup or raw honey (i used both)
- 2 tbsp virgin coconut oil or other healthy cooking oil
- ½ tsp vanilla extract extract
- 1 large pinch fine sea salt (Himalayan or black sea salt)
Recipe: Preheat your oven to 300º F. Use a baking sheet. Mix all ingredients together using a spoon or hands. Pour mixture onto baking sheet and let bake for 8-10 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK! Your granola should be thinly spread and lightly cooked. Allow to cool and store for later use.
My son just tried it and had 2 bowls with almond milk! I have to hide the rest, so I can get some! lol
